AI that has to beat a number

Every engagement starts with a workflow that costs you money and a measurement of what it costs today. If what we build does not beat that number, it was not worth building.

How we decide whether AI is the answer

A surprising share of problems that arrive described as AI problems are data quality problems, process problems or integration problems wearing a costume. Those are usually cheaper to fix and far more reliable once fixed.

So the first week is spent establishing three things: what the workflow costs now in hours or errors, what a good outcome would look like as a number, and whether anything simpler than AI would get there. If something simpler would, we say so and hand back the rest of the cycle.

This loses us work. It also means that when we do say AI is the right tool, you have reason to believe it.

What this looks like in practice

  • Document processing. Invoices, delivery notes, LPOs, statements, contracts. Anything arriving as a PDF or a photograph that a person currently retypes into a system.
  • Classification and routing. Email, tickets and enquiries sorted and sent to the right desk with the right priority, instead of one person triaging an inbox every morning.
  • Extraction and reconciliation. Pulling structured data out of unstructured sources and matching it against what your systems already hold.
  • Agents for repetitive multi-step work. The tasks where someone opens four systems in sequence and copies between them.
  • Forecasting where you have enough clean history to support it, and an honest conversation where you do not.

Keeping it honest

AI systems fail differently from ordinary software. They do not throw an error, they produce something confident and wrong. So anything we build gets three things: a measured accuracy figure on your real data, a defined path for the cases it should refuse to handle, and a human checkpoint wherever being wrong would be expensive.

We also tell you the running cost before we build. Model inference is not free and the economics change the calculation on high-volume workflows. That number belongs in the business case, not in a surprise invoice three months later.

Where your data goes

This is the question UAE boards ask first and it deserves a direct answer. We will tell you exactly which models process your data, where they run, what is retained and for how long. Where data residency matters for your sector, we design for it from the start rather than discovering the constraint during implementation.

Questions

Asked before,
answered straight

How do we know whether AI is worth it for our business?

Pick the workflow that annoys you most and count what it costs today in hours. If that number is small, AI is not your priority. If it is large and the work is repetitive and rule-bounded, it is worth one cycle to find out properly. We will tell you in the first week if the answer is no.

Is our data used to train models?

Not by us, and we will tell you precisely what the model providers we use do with it under their business terms. If your sector requires data to stay within the UAE, say so at the start and we design around that constraint rather than retrofitting it.

What if the AI gets things wrong?

It will, sometimes, and that is why we measure accuracy on your real data before anything goes live and put a human checkpoint anywhere a mistake would be costly. A system with no defined failure path is not finished.
